I was part of a two-day workshop with Peter at the end of last month. I have always felt comfortable while speaking to large audiences, and Peter has helped me to understand which techniques are more favorable to me. His Relational Presence approach has emphasized one thing I have always believed in: that you shouldn't "perform" when delivering a talk, but rather put yourself at the audience's place and recognize what is the main message you want to transmit, and also to think about what the audience can actually learn from you. Moreover, seeing Peter is a great example of how to keep a diverse audience engaged.

The two-day training with Peter really made me more at ease when speaking to a large audience. By learning Relational Presence in delivering a talk, I was able to relax even when the stress creeps in, get more connected with my audience, and be able to accept uncertainties and have a tool to cope with it. Although I will need much more practice to master this mindfulness, he has given me a big push in the right direction. I believe whoever that wants to improve their communication skills can benefit from Peter's workshops.

"Grâce au travail développé au cours des Speaking Circles animés par Peter Lake, j’ai pu gagner davantage de confiance en moi et de concentration à l’écoute des autres. Les participants à l’atelier, ainsi que Peter, ont posé grâce à leur feedback un autre regard sur moi. Un stage à taille humaine avec une dimension saine et chaleureuse. Un apprentissage simple, accessible, efficace. Peter fait la démonstration en personne de chaque exercice. On s'exerce, on réalise, on se réalise dans le regard, la parole, pour être en lien avec les autres. On apprend à donner mais aussi à recevoir. Just do it ! Merci.
